Dry Taps: A Damning Verdict on the State of Water Utilities in Nigeria was collated and edited by the Renevlyn Development Initiative.

THE CITIZENS FREE SERVICES FORUM REJECTS THE SENATE’S VERSION OF THE AMENDMENT OF NIGERIA’S ELECTORAL ACT:

Nigeria has been thrown into an uproar since the decision of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to insert spokes in the wheel of amendments to Section 60 of Nigeria’s Electoral Act. While the House of Representatives passed a version that explicitly mandated the electronic transmission of election results from polling stations to INEC IREV Portals and for electronic transmission to be the basis of results collation, the Senate’s version was different. The Senate’s version introduced a clause that created room for a fallback to Form EC8A manual collation as the primary means of results collation in the event of the failure of electronic transmission.

Annual Report 2025: In furtherance of advocacy for government intervention to address the dire water situation in
Nigeria, in the year under review the CFSF and water justice advocates in Nigeria documented
and released a report outlining the causes of water shortage in Nigeria and made
recommendations on how to address the issue.
The findings were compiled in a report titled, Dry Taps: A Damning Verdict on the State of Water
Utilities in Nigeria focusing on fact-finding exercises which included visits to water utilities in six
states of the federation – Enugu, Edo, Lagos, Oyo, Kogi and Kano.

CFSF Signs MOU with UtoU for 3-Year (2026-2028) Multisector Project Implementation in Nigeria: The Citizens Free Service Forum (CFSF) has signed a memoraandum of understanding with the Union to Union (UtoU) for implementation of the Union’s Multisector projects identified as Union to Union project No. 60670 in Nigeria.

Union to Union Sweden is a Swedish non-profit organization that coordinates the international development work of Sweden’s trade union movement. Its main goal is to help build strong, democratic trade unions and promote decent work, fair wages, safe workplaces, and workers’ rights around the world.
